Cortiva Armchair

A Quiet Place Within.

A generous armchair shaped by a single, embracing gesture. Cortiva wraps softly around the body, pairing sculpted curves with a deep seat and relaxed cushioning to create a feeling of comfort without visual weight. Elevated on slender legs, its rounded silhouette feels both grounded and light—a quiet retreat designed for reading, conversation and moments of pause.

Softness, shaped with intention. Cortiva surrounds the body with gentle curves and generous comfort, creating a personal space within the larger room. Sculptural yet inviting, it brings form, proportion and ease together in the quiet harmony that defines Sympl Living.

The Shape of Comfort

Cortiva begins with the idea of an embrace.

Its outer form flows continuously around the sitter, with the back gently extending into broad curved arms. Inside, a deep seat and relaxed cushion soften this sculptural architecture, creating a chair that feels protective without becoming enclosed.

Every transition has been considered to remove visual interruption. Curves meet curves, upholstery flows around the form, and slender legs lift the volume just enough to give it lightness.

The result is a chair that feels instinctively comfortable before you even sit in it—an intimate expression of harmony between form and feeling.

Carved by the Landscape

Cortiva draws inspiration from the gentle contours found in landscapes shaped slowly by the elements—hillsides softened by wind, pathways following the natural terrain, and valleys whose curves seem to fold inward around the space they hold.

There are few abrupt lines in these landscapes. One form simply gives way to another.

Cortiva follows the same principle. Its continuous outer curve creates shelter, while the open interior remains soft and welcoming. Structure and comfort are not treated as separate ideas; each exists because of the other.

A form shaped around the body, and a moment shaped around stillness.
