Monarch Bed

Grand in Presence. Refined in Profile.

The Monarch Bed is defined by contrast: an extra-large, deeply tufted headboard rises above an exceptionally slim upholstered frame. Generous proportions give the bed a commanding presence, while the slender side profile, extended foot-end and tapered timber legs keep its silhouette light and refined. Monarch brings the richness of traditional tufting into a cleaner, distinctly contemporary form.

A statement headboard, balanced by an unexpectedly light silhouette. Description

Monarch was designed around the idea that grandeur does not have to mean heaviness.

Its defining feature is an oversized upholstered headboard, deliberately scaled beyond conventional proportions to create a strong architectural presence within the bedroom. Deep, rhythmic tufting travels across its surface, introducing texture, depth, and a sense of craftsmanship to an otherwise restrained silhouette.

The headboard's substantial scale is counterbalanced by an unusually thin bed frame. Rather than continuing the visual weight downward, the upholstered base remains slim and elevated, allowing the mattress and headboard to appear almost suspended above the floor. Slender tapered timber legs reinforce this sense of lightness.

At the foot, the frame extends gently beyond the mattress and finishes with softened corners, creating a horizontal line that visually anchors the larger headboard without adding unnecessary bulk.

Monarch brings together two seemingly opposing ideas: the drama and richness of a grand tufted bed with the clarity and lightness of contemporary furniture.

The result is a bed designed to command the room without overwhelming it—regal in scale, tailored in detail, and surprisingly refined in profile.
