A contemporary expression of an enduring furniture tradition. Legend pairs deep button tufting, tailored leather upholstery, and hand-applied stud detailing with a cleaner, more restrained silhouette. Rich in character yet disciplined in proportion, it brings the warmth and permanence of traditional craftsmanship into the modern home—a piece designed to acquire even more character with time. Available in Hand waxed aniline leather for an elaborate expression of gradients and detail.

Legend begins with a design language that has endured for centuries.
Deep button tufting creates rhythm across the seat and back, while individually applied studs trace the sofa's outer edges with the precision of traditional upholstery. Leather brings warmth and tactility to the composition, developing a richer character as it is touched, used, and lived with.
Yet Legend is not intended as a reproduction of the past.
Its silhouette is cleaner, its proportions more considered and its ornament carefully controlled. We retain historical details where they add character and craftsmanship, while removing everything unnecessary.
The result sits comfortably between eras, carrying the familiarity of an heirloom with the clarity a contemporary home requires.
A piece that remembers where furniture came from, without forgetting where we live today.
Legend draws inspiration from the great upholstered furniture traditions of nineteenth-century Britain, particularly the deep-buttoned leather seating associated with Chesterfield sofas and the private clubs, libraries and drawing rooms in which they became cultural fixtures.
These interiors were designed around permanence. Leather was chosen not because it remained unchanged, but because it grew more expressive with use. Button tufting gave upholstered surfaces depth and structure, while studded edges revealed the hand of the upholsterer.
Legend reinterprets these traditions through the Sympl Living lens. Historical craftsmanship meets contemporary restraint; formality is softened by comfort; and heritage finds a natural place within modern living.
It is this relationship between past and present, craftsmanship and everyday life, that gives Legend its harmony—and its name.
